Poetry: Death is a Horse

Death is a horse
Walking along a river
Waiting for the wind

Death is a horse
Under open sky
Scenting the breeze

With a flick of hasty tail
She rides herself
And carries home the finish

Death is a deer
Standing by a field
Watching the stranger

Refusing to flash her white

Death is a whisper
"Already home"

Nobody sleeps here now
